A skill that I've developed throughout my career is the ability to look at integrated marketing communications elements holistically. It all begins with the strategy and ends with the implementation of various related tactical elements over the course of a campaign, quarter or even the whole year. These tactical elements might involve collateral design, direct mail, presentations, email, web content, advertising, trade show support, public relations, analyst relations or investor relations and in some cases all of the aforementioned elements.
For example, while at Convergys I worked on a campaign we called Competitive Advantage. This was back in the day when we all still printed collateral. We created a sales kit for the sales teams that included a corporate folder, a detailed summary of the Competitive Advantage campaign and a note card for them to write personalized notes to prospects. We developed a matching trade ad that ran in select publications and we had a white paper and a landing page where users could download a copy of the white paper. All creative and copy was based off the Competitive Advantage track ad we developed with our agency partners HSR (Now GYROHSR).
Here is a PDF of that ad, an image that includes the folder, note card, fact sheets and campaign overview from the sales kit. Finally there is a screen grab of the Landing Page.
